The South Dakota Cooperative Extension Service has rescheduled a "weed walk" tour for June 12 in Sanborn County.

The event takes place from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the farm of Mark and Lisa Snedeker. To reach the farm, take state Highway 37 to 228th Street, then turn east and travel one-half mile. Signs will mark the turn and the route to the farm.

Registration is required before June 9 and costs $8 to cover the cost of lunch. To register, call the Sanborn County Extension office at (605) 796-4380, or e-mail South Dakota Cooperative Extension Agronomy Educator Irene Graves at Irene.Graves@sdstate.edu.

In addition to Graves, Extension Integrated Pest Management Coordinator Darrell Deneke and South Dakota Department of Agriculture Weed Management Technician Brenda Sievers will lead this walking tour through cropland and pasture identifying weeds and discussing biological, mechanical, and chemical control options for each species.
